Is this the same plate that came on the machine from the factory?
Yes. It’s the genuine Epiroc part, not an aftermarket copy. Same alloy, same machining tolerances, same packaging you get from the dealer.
Will it fit my RD22U, or do I need to check the serial number?
It fits all RD22U front heads. If your old plate has 3201195726 or 3201 1957 26 stamped on it, this slides right in. No serial break applies.
What actually fails on a water plate?
Usually erosion around the port edges or warping from heat. When it warps, seal squeeze gets uneven and you start losing water pressure at the bit. That’s when you’ll see shank discoloration or premature seal wear.
Do you stock these, or am I waiting for a factory order?
